About the Author

Diane Terry is a Cardinal Stritch High School graduate, who holds a MA in elementary education from the University of Toledo. She taught 4th and 5th graders in the Genoa Area Schools for 35 years and delighted in bringing creative ideas to life with her classes.

​

Since her retirement, Diane has authored, The Bubble Gum Fairy, with her granddaughter, Kalee Bartko. She and Kalee took a bedtime story and brought it to life. Diane’s book, Sweetlips, shows how curiosity is the driving force that takes us to new places and causes us to discover and learn amazing and exciting things. Her  book The  Flying Jewels teaches a love for birds and how to look around at the beautiful wonders in life.

As a visiting author, Diane takes her presentations, “There’s A Possibility”, “Curiosity”,and “The Wonder of It All” plus her “Imaginivity” Workshops into elementary schools to teach children how to discover their possibilities and talents, where ideas come from, and how to look at the world from a new perspective. With her videos and songs, she hopes to excite and inspire not only her youthful audience, but all who attend.

Diane is married and has 2 children and 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She loves to travel, golf, garden, and take photos.

About the other Author

Kalee Bartko is Diane Terry’s granddaughter. As a little girl Diane told fairy bedtime stories and when Diane wanted to write a book, Kalee said, “You have to write The Bubble Gum Fairy!” She remembered the once told story and at 10 years of age she helped her Grammie write The Bubble Gum Fairy.

 

Today Kalee is a licensed aesthetician and she loves spending time with her 2 children, Amora and Amari.
